2 Year Old Parents' Information:

Dinners - If your child attends all day, the school can provide a hot school dinner at a cost of £2.30 per day, payable via your child's Arbor account.  All meals must be paid for in advance.  Alternatively, you may provide a healthy packed lunch.

Snack money -  We ask for a voluntarily contribution of £10 per half term payable via your child's Arbor account, please speak to a member of the office staff if you require help with this.  Children are given a healthy snack each day such as fresh fruit or vegetables and crackers.

Active Kids - We take part in weekly Active Kids sessions which take place in the main school hall with our PE teacher Mrs Holland.  PE Kit isn't necessary, but we advise sending your child in clothes like joggers or leggings that won't restrict their movement and shoes or trainers with velcro straps which are easy for them to take on and off.

Clothing - We spend our day exploring our indoor and outdoor environments whatever the weather. As our British weather is so changeable can you ensure your child brings a suitable named coat, change of clothes, suitable footwear and wellington boots daily.

Our Nursery Curriculum - We provide a range of stimulating activities indoors and out to help your child learn and develop and achieve the outcomes of the Early Years Foundation Stage.  For more information, please speak to a member of the team or visit www.foundationyears.org.uk.

Attendance - Regular attendance is really important to help your child get the best out of their nursery experience. If your child is not well enough to attend, please let us know via telephone or email hughesk@leighton.cheshire.sch.uk.  If we do not hear from you, school will contact you to check everything is ok.

Sharing Information - You will receive a Weekly Update via email with information about your child's activities in nursery and news of special events.  More information is available via our webpages and Parents' Noticeboards.

Water Bottles - We ask that you provide a named, plastic water bottle so that your child can access a drink whenever they wish.  We do not recommend fruit juice in accordance with school healthy eating guidelines.

Nappies, wipes and Spare Clothing - We ask that you provide nappies and baby wipes if your child needs these each day. When your child is ready to start toileting, we will of course offer support with this. Please provide several changes of socks, underwear, trousers/skirts/shoes in the early days!

Toys and Comforters - We strongly suggest that any toys are left at home as children may become upset if they are lost. We are happy for your child to bring a comforter whilst they are settling in.
